How to play
Fly anywhere in the play area, clear formations of enemy ships and build a more powerful gun after every wave. Scouts, armoured ships and a boss every fifth wave keep each run varied.
- Choose a difficulty for the next game, then press Play. Auto-fire is enabled initially.
- Move the mouse in the play area without holding a button, use all four arrows or WASD, or drag on a touch screen. Keep clear of enemy ships as well as their shots.
- After clearing a wave, choose extra cannons, heavier plasma or faster firing. Each gun upgrade lasts for the rest of the run. Collect T for temporary triple shot and S for a shield; P or Escape pauses.
Survive before chasing points
Watch the gaps between incoming shots, not only the enemy directly above you. Small movements leave more escape routes than rushing from one edge to the other. Move towards a supply only when the route is clear; a shield absorbs one hit, so it is not permission to stay in the line of fire.
Build your gun between waves
The action freezes after each cleared wave until you choose an upgrade. Cannons add permanent barrels up to five; later cannon upgrades increase their damage. Plasma increases each shot’s damage, while rapid upgrades shorten firing intervals and make shots travel faster. Once firing reaches its speed limit, further rapid upgrades still increase shot speed. All choices stack and reset only when you start a new game. T supplies guarantee at least three barrels for six seconds, without removing permanent upgrades when they expire. Every tenth kill drops a supply, alternating triple shot and shield; bosses also drop a supply.
Waves, bosses and personal bests
Keep moving: several enemies can fire together, their shots follow your position, and touching a ship can hurt you. Formations descend faster as waves advance. Armoured enemies appear from wave two, and later enemies have more health. Every fifth wave brings a boss with escorts and a wider fan of shots. Relaxed has fewer enemies and slower fire; Challenging has larger opening formations and faster volleys. Choose the twin-barrel, plasma or rapid-fire gun icon between waves to build your weapon. Your ship returns to the bottom before the next wave, with a short grace period. Consecutive kills build a scoring streak. Records are kept separately for each difficulty and this tougher version, so earlier runs do not replace your new best. Expand gives the play area more room without changing the rules.

Common questions
- Can I fire manually?
- Yes. Turn off Auto-fire and use the Fire control or Space while the game has focus.
- Can I move up and down with the mouse?
- Yes. Move the mouse anywhere within the play area; there is no need to hold a button. Touch screens use dragging, and keyboard players can use all four arrows or WASD.
- Do gun upgrades disappear after a wave?
- No. The upgrade you choose after each cleared wave lasts for the rest of that run and stacks with later choices. New game resets the guns. Falling T supplies are a separate temporary boost.
- What happens when I leave the tab?
- The game pauses. Resume when you return; a short grace period gives you time to orient yourself.
