How to play

Guide the snake to food while keeping a route open for its growing body. Each piece of food makes the next turn a little harder because the tail occupies more of the board.

  1. Choose a difficulty and press Play. Use arrow keys or the direction buttons to steer.
  2. On a touch screen, swipe in the play area to choose the next direction.
  3. Collect food without hitting a wall or your own body. Pause before leaving the game.

Plan the exit before the food

Before turning into a corner, consider how you will get back out. Early in the game you can take direct routes. As the snake grows, broader loops leave more room than sharp detours through your own trail. An apparent shortcut can trap you when the tail has not moved out of the way yet.

Turning and increasing speed

The snake cannot reverse directly into itself. Turn through a perpendicular direction instead. Turns are buffered so a quick pair of inputs can be applied in order, but frantic extra presses make the route harder to predict. The pace rises as you collect food; personal bests are separate for each difficulty.

Common questions

Can the snake travel through the edge?
No. The walls end the run. Plan turns before the head reaches the boundary.
What does the score count?
The Food figure counts pieces collected during the current run. Your best food count is saved for the selected difficulty on this device.
